FeraMAX® Pd contains ferric iron in a non-ionic polydextrose complex. When used as directed, this formulation has been reported to be generally well tolerated.

Recommended Use:

For the treatment of iron deficiency anemia in adults

Recommended Dose:

Adults: One capsule daily, or as directed by a health care practitioner

Directions for Use:

Take a few hours before or after taking other medications. Take with meals to lessen gastrointestinal effects.

Duration of Use:

Use for 3-6 months after hemoglobin levels have returned to normal. Consult your health care practitioner prior to use and for prolonged use.

Medicinal ingredients:

Each capsule contains 150 mg elemental iron (polydextrose-iron complex).

Non-medicinal ingredients (alphabetical order):

carrageenan, D&C Red #33, D&C Yellow #10, FD&C Blue #1, FD&C Red #40, FD&C Yellow #6, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, potassium chloride, and titanium dioxide.

Cautions and Warning:

Keep out of reach of children. There is enough drug in this package to seriously harm a child. Some people may experience gastrointestinal side effects. Consult your health care practitioner prior to use, if you are hypersensitive to iron preparations or any ingredient in this product, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have peptic ulcer, regional enteritis, or ulcerative colitis. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if you experience nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, hematemesis (vomiting of blood), or diarrhea.

Store at controlled room temperature (15ºC – 30ºC).
